My look for an 80′s themed birthday party…

Material Girl body suit, Marc by Marc Jacobs, H.Studio acrylic cuffs and Rachel Roy sequin bag.
What makes this look really 80′s to me is the black bows across the back of the bright floral body suit.
Sexy… Who knew? When I went back to look at these pictures I surprised myself with how the simplest look can be so surprisingly attractive.
H&M tube dress, Rachel Roy cut-out sweater, Sketchers riding books and Juicy Couture bag.

I find suede to be a funny material. It’s to sensitive for the fall/winter weather, rain and snow do not agree with it. Suede is also almost a bit heavy for spring/summer. So I am guessing it’s a mild weather fabric for the transitional season. I decided to wear my suede tie-dye mini on a sunny 75 degree spring day.

Vintage denim jacket, Forever21 blouse, Rachael Roy tie-dye suede mini, Pour la Victoire wedges and Junior Drake fringe bag.

The skirt has subtle gold zippered pockets on both the front and back.

I decided I needed new flats, I don’t have any flat shoes beyond a pair of oxfords, motorcycle and riding boots. I wanted something that was very everyday but could still be dressed up. I didn’t want to spend a lot seeing that I wasn’t going to wear them THAT often as I prefer heels.
The plan… I wanted to get 2 pairs for about $100.00 bucks. I searched the usual discount sites: 6PM.com, SmartBargins.com, Overstock.com, Payless.com – Nothing, just a endless selection of Crocs and orthopedic shoes! Next set of sites DSW.com, Endless.com and Zappos.com – more of a selection but nothing I loved and I couldn’t find anything that met my 2 for $100.00 standard. Also, I am a size 11 so pickings are usually slim!
Then I heard about the Macy’s One Day Sale… This is the only time I ever go into Macy’s. I’m fortunate to have a higher-end Macy’s near me where my impulse department carries nicer labels than Laundry and Lucky Brand. So I took the plunge and swung by after work to fight the crowds in the shoe department where I found these:

Roxy Claudette Flat
Now I am not a big fan of Roxy, but this little adorable flat fit all my requirements… Cute, simple and easy to dress up! Now the juicy part: regularly priced at $39.90, on sale for $24.90 plus my coupon $18.50!!
So I bought all 4 colors!

Grab yourself a pair before they are all gone!
While I was there I spotted these Rachel Roy for Macy’s wedge booties… They weren’t on sale and they were low on stock (they had already sold out of the navy) but since my Sam Edelman’s quit me and I was getting such a steal on the flats, I thought I’d treat myself!
Regularly $159.00 with coupon $119.00!!
