I decided to take last week off from blogging… I didn’t want to post filler as I decide what’s next for CakeNotCoke and before the busy event and fashion week seasons kicks in..

My first look for February!

Joie fur trimmed jacket, Gypsy05 scarf, Forever21 sweater and Sketchers boots (yes you read that correctly).

You can look forward to continued event and shopping coverage, but I am branching out to also bring a boutique focus to the site. All goes as planned I will provide inside peaks to local boutiques by featuring a local shop bi-monthly.

Also, as I prepare for big move myself I have began to get into interior decorating and I will share my inspirations here.

LAFW: Gypsy 05

Gypsy 05 was the jewel of LAFW and did not share a runway with any other labels on its particular night as this label deserves a night and show to itself! The show opened with a sage blessing of the runway followed by a dance performance.

The show then opened up to take the audience on a journey across the world.

I love the asymmetrical styles in light weight fabrics for spring.

The light weight fabrics and asymmetrical cuts give these dresses drama and flare!

I am in love with the green dress below…

Love the split way up to there!

I am not sure where I would wear it… But I NEED this blue cape!



Gypsy 05 is one of the only if not the ONLY national fashion brand from Los Angeles that still shows during LAFW. Bless them for doing so…  As much as I enjoy up and coming shows, its nice to see a brand or designers that are known worldwide.
