No mater how you style it, navy, white and brown always looks preppy. Or even nautical. Mixing it up with the micro denim mini makes it bit more city-prep!
Jacket Filmore, J.Crew button down, Joan&David flats, Louis Vuitton bag, Dsquared2 sunglasses, H.Studio cuff and Tiffany’s silver pearl set.
For some reason, in looks like these I always feel like I should be on my way to somewhere fabulous – not work! Oh well!
Sorry for being kinda of label heavy in this one. I’ve had the bag for years. I got it when I worked for a luxury department store in college. Not only did I get my employee discount, the bag was $950 before my employee discount. Today the same bag sells for $1,250.
I am part of the minority that rides the Los Angeles subway downtown as my daily work commute. As the world knows public transportation is shunned in LA. For me, there’s no other convenient way for me to spend the morning… Coffee in hand, WWD or latest fashion mag… Why waste this precious reading time stuck on the freeway!
So as I work my way through a stack of WWD’s, I came across this awesome spread titled “Olive Garden”. Olive is being seen as a big trend color for pre-fall 2010.
Shot by John Aquino,
this spread is a fun mixture of earth tones and metallics in
various fabrications and accessories.

WWD Olive Garden
- Dsquared2’s silk dress and belt.
- Tory Burch metallic nylon jacket, a nylon and spandex mesh dress with gold sequins and wool leggings.
My favorite piece is this bronze blazer.
Gives the play on earth tones a chic elegant touch.

WWD Olive Garden
- Devi Kroell’s silk blazer over a viscose, nylon, cotton and mohair top and silk skirt. Fiona Paxton necklace.
California had its first real winter storm yesterday, and I couldn’t find my wellies!! So I began searching for some new ones and I thought I’d share my faves!

I love the studded BCBG boot, it adds rough edge on a fun boot.
The girly pink kitten heel of the Kate Spade boot would make wading in the water glamorous!!
