LAFW TwoPointOh Kick Off Event

October 13th, 2011 No comments

LA blogger organization, TwoPointOhLA, held its biannual LAFW Pre-party this week.

Sole Society gifted some of their fall favorites:

Clous du Bois provided an endless wine bar!

Nib Nobs are a little guilty pleasure in a few bites!

Imoshion is a LA based handbag line that helps you maximize your bag purchase by designing bags that are season-less.

I fell in love with the Madelyn top handle bag. The best part is the gold chain that make it into a chic little shoulder bag.

The Nikki is also a great versitle evening bag that can convert to a clutch or shoulder bag!

Betsey Johnson jacket, Mason by Michelle Mason cut out leather pants, L.A.M.B shoes and Louis Vuitton bag.

Tonight is the first of 4 nights of LAFW Concept shows… More of LAFW to come!

Fourth of Opps

August 3rd, 2011 No comments

I forgot to share with you my Fourth of July get-up!

Betsey Johnson blazer, Forever21 gold tank, Gucci sandals and white skinny jeans.

I thought I’d represent our our troops at see in this Navy inspired blazer by Betsey Johnson.

I know it’s boarder line costume/Katy Perry/Anime…

But I had fun with it!

A Night in Mason

A few weeks ago I was shopping at the Mason by Michelle Mason sample sale and I picked up these super cool leather trimmed skinny pants.

Although, they weren’t exactly “sample sale” price, I feel in love and I had to have them! The ultra skinny pant is super sexy and the cut-outs at the leather knee breaks gives them some edge! I have to admit I picked them up in both, tan and black and black on black!

Michelle Mason pants, L.A.M.B shoes, Betsey Johnson jacket and Gucci purse.

I love the Victorian inspired bustle in the back of this jacket, main reason I picked it up!

Fun with Flares

Flare and wide leg jeans have been rumored to be making a come back for the past few seasons, but they continue to take a back seat to skinny jeans and now jeggings.

I decided to bring mine back.

Flare jeans, AG draped top, Coach bag and Forever21 necklaces.

Juicy - everything and the kitchen sink  – charm bracelet.

Betsey Johnson platform pumps with bow detail.

A Night at the Theater

March 5th, 2010 No comments

One of my Vendors sent me Tickets to see the Broadway Musical Dream Girls at the Ahmanson Theater in Downtown LA.

Note on theater attire: It is so hard to get Los Angelinos out of their jeans! The world knows LA is the capital of casual chic, but there are many occasions when glam-ing it up a bit should be strictly enforced. Only a handful of men wore slacks jackets were even more scarce, the majority of them were in jeans and khakis. Ladies, we all know you have something else besides in your closet besides a Juicy track suit to wear.

I do wish this city had the desire and make ones self presentable and dress up for events. Yes, your butt may look awesome in skinny jeans, but I think we can take a bit more appreciation of the occasion and not down play it by wearing something you’d wear to the dog park.

Just a bit my personal pet-peeve on the disappearance of occasion dressing. Don’t get me started on my feelings of disappearance of Vegas glam! (I think I may touch on that in the future).

Dream

Zara velvet, jacket, Arden B. gold with purple sequin tunic, H&M sateen leggings, BCBG booties, Rachel Roy purple sequin bag, J Crew earrings and Betsey Johnson bracelet.

All of my accessory close ups came out horrible, but here is a shot my bracelet by itself. It was an gift from my mother, I love all of the fun charms and it makes a delightfully soothing noise.

Oh, and the show was fabulous!!

The singing would blow any of those idol hopeful and some of pop stars off the stage! Don’t get me started on the costumes!
