My New Love Hammitt Handbags

January 3rd, 2012 1 comment

I picked up a few goodies during the holiday sale madness…. A gorgeous BCBG runway dress for 70% off and an Alexander Wang Diego bag for 50% off… Just to name a few…. But I came across a Hammit bag at Bloomingdale’s for 70% off that I had to add to my arsenal…

This beauty is the Century City Dember. This gorgeous satchel has beautiful gold studs on the side and suede lining.

Hammitt is a Los Angeles based handbag company that actually designs and makes their handbags in Los Angeles and not in some far off land.

Elyse Walker Holiday Magazine

December 29th, 2011 No comments

Elyse Walker is an uber chic designer boutique located in the Pacific Palisades, which is right outside of Santa Monica. Elyse Walker carries an amazing selection of designer goodies that one may not find at Neiman Marcus or Barney’s because they buy for their local clients and not a national trend.

I recently received the Elyse Walker Holiday e-Magazine and fell in love with the spring teaser.

I am in love with the pistachio/mint Balenciaga!

The Proenza Schouler PS1 bags in the fabulous bright spring colors get my heart racing!

Check out more of the Elyse Walker eMagazine.

Dog walking

December 27th, 2011 No comments

Granted, I don’t normally look this well put together for dog walking, but on a Saturday afternoon after running weekend errands and checking out the sales I might end up taking the pups on a glamorous walk!

Please green moto jacket, Grey skinny jeans, Zara sweater, H&M scarf and Kimchi Blue wedge boots.

I would like to introduce you to Wookie!

We recently rescued him, he was a stray found in East LA…  Long story short; he is here to stay.

BTW, I scored these boots from Urban Outfitters for $15.00 in the clearance section! I scooped them up in both tan and grey.

Cake Snowballs!

December 25th, 2011 1 comment

This year’s holiday post I though I’d share a recipe for something festive and delicious…

Cake Snowballs!

Gather your favorite baking materials – I love yellow cake so that’s what I choose.

I prefer to blend my cake in a blender for perfectly smooth mix.

Bake in buttered cake pan for specified baking time.

Now the fun messy part!!

Mix baked cake and frosting together until it is mushy!

Then ball into desired cake ball size.

One box will make about 40-50 balls

Place the tray of balls into the freezer for about 90 mins – double this time for the fridge.

Once they are cold and solid – melt the desired chocolate – I prefer to double boil to melt than use the microwave as you have more control over the slow melt.

After a bit of trail and error – I discovered the best way to cover the balls was to pour the melted chocolate on the balls and not try to dip them individually.

About that trial and error – I started to make white chocolate in order to make the snowballs, but due to baking issues we had to swtich to chocolate and cover them with coconut flakes.

Enjoy!

Happy Holidays!

Fall Pastels

I fell in love with this floral asymmetrical skirt from Zara and had to have it…

I love that the floral palette is fairly neutral making it easy to style and practically season-less.

BCBG leather jacket, DVF blouse, Zara skirt and Calvin Klein boots.

I picked up this waist belt for a steal of $7.00 at Urban Outfitters!
