Bass ♥ Rachel Antonoff Collection

January 20th, 2012 No comments

I recently fell in love with the Bass ♥ Rachel Antonoff Collection…

Bass Alice in white leather and Estelle in black velvet.

I am normally not the biggest fan of retro or vintage stye, but something about these adorable shoes inspired by classic  saddle shoes called to me.

I think it maybe the fun contrasting bow that makes this saddle shoe a modern enough for my contemporary taste.

The Estelle is the perfect holiday flat!

Overall, the majority of collection Rachel Antonoff for Bass Collection features quirky styles for the vintage enthusiast; but I am very happy with my modern saddle shoes!

LAFW Look 1

October 19th, 2011 No comments

For the first night of Concept LA Fashion Weeks shows I decided to go for a fun flirty look.

Material Girl body suit, Marc by Marc Jacobs skirt, H. Studio and Juicy bangles.

I love the bow back detail on the this bodysuit… Girly in front and sexy in the back.

Once again my Sole Society pumps were a hit!

LAFW Concept: Nuvula

Although I only caught the last 10 looks from this show, you can get the gist of the collection from these few pictures.

Mainly a lot of mixing of fabrications to create pastel costumes. Only thing I felt would be wearable is the swim or bodysuits. Which would most likely be worn with something else.

New fall shoes

September 25th, 2011 No comments

Everyone is looking for an excuse to shop, and a seasonal change is as good as it gets! As with any seasonal change there are a few trends that will stand out. Some of the Fall 2011 Shoe trends include bright bold colors and animal prints.

Bright colorful Shoes

A bright cobalt blue pump is a wardrobe must, but it you are looking for something a bit funkier I’d try the Nicolas Kirkwood inspired purple heel.

Animal prints

Although, animal prints are on trend EVERY fall, I love this style because it combines the trend of bright bold colors and fun animal prints.

All of the shoes styles featured are from Barratts.  Barratts offers styles that are perfect for all of the fall trends and if you not looking for a fashion forward shoe, they offer classic and athletic styles as well. You may even shop by theme, such as “cocktail hour”, which offers a wide variety of shoe styles perfect for a night on the town.

Music + Fashion

April 26th, 2011 No comments

Music and fashion go together like ice cream and cake. Both are great on their own, but are even more amazing together. So I shouldn’t have been too surprised to find this fun colorful feature in the April/May 2011 issue of Vibe Magazine.

Singer/songwriter Teyana Taylor rocks animal and African, Lebanese and Indian inspired tribal prints in the this fun fearless style feature.

I love this jumpsuit! I am in love with the purple and gold Zebra inspired print.

  • Paris Dakar jumpsuit, $150, bronze belt, $100, and bronze bracelet, $85, all Adama Paris.
  • “Lucie” laser-cut shoe, $149, Bebe.

  • Cut-out safari frock, $239, Ragdolls

  • Animal-print scarf (worn as top), $13
  • jacket with embellished stones, $70, shorts, $30, all H&M

  • African-print sleeveless jacket, $595, L.A.M.B
  • Animal-print one- piece swimsuit, $25, H&M
  • Tribal Belly Dance Fish Belt, $86, all Silk Road Tribal
  • “Watchout” shoe $110, Steve Madden

I think what I love about this fun, flirty, wild shoot, is that everything is affordable! To be honest, styling couture for photo shoots isn’t that hard, as the clothes speak for themselves. This shoot mixes fast fashion, such as H&M, and lower end contemporary, such as Bebe, to achieve these awesome runway worthy looks.
