While searching and deciding on the perfect appliances, my boyfriend was pushing for a Nespresso coffee maker… You know, the fancy at home espresso makers only sold at the finer department stores or Nespresso boutiques.
I’ve had a Flavia (I don’t think they make those anymore) in the past and most recently a Tassimo… Both okay machines without much in the way of good coffee, but since I added flavored creamer the coffee quality didn’t matter. So I didn’t see the reason to spend $100s on a coffee maker. But he convinced me to give it a try and we swung by my local Bloomingdale’s for a demonstration by the Nespresso guru…
From the Lattissima. exceptional Cappuccino and Latte Macchiato are prepared with thick milk froth with the simple touch of a button. The Lattissima retails for $400 but you can use Bloomingdale’s Friends and Family and other promos towards your purchase to take a bit of the sting off.
I had to order our machine, because basic white or silver was not going to cut it for me!
I went with Passion Red!
After having the machine for a few weeks now I am very happy with the quality of beverage, speediness of coffee delivery and ease of use of the machine. The only recommendation to the Nespresso team I would make would be to consider offering 8oz coffee pods. Currently the largest coffees are the Lungos, which offer 3.5oz pour which you then top off with frothy milk to make a full cup…
Consider larger coffees Nespresso team!
