Shoe Heart Break: Sam Edelman York

I was so excited when I first got the Sam Edelman studded York pump. I bought them way back in September at full price – and as you know – I rarely buy anything FULL PRICE.  I held onto them for months as a I waited for the fall season to be officially here.

I finally took them for a spin this past Saturday and felt heart break when I took them off at the end of the night. There were several stones missing and every stud was discolored..

EVERY stud!

Sam Edelman York

After one night of wear

Now I am not one of those people who buy a product and expect to get a lifetime of usage. But ONE night?? I expected to at least wear them through the holiday season and have blingged out feet at all of my functions! Now of couse the shoe still functions as a shoe… But it’s special feature, the studded and rhinestone platform now looks like I’ve worn them climbing mountains!

My recourse? I called Bloomingdale’s the next day…

Not a surprise! This is a common issue…

Now the question is… refund or new fall shoe?

Oh no! I thought Sam Edelman was such a quality brand, too. Can you tell us if they were comfortable, at least?

I would get a new fall shoe.

That is SO disappointing! I remember seeing the teal color and falling IN.LOVE. You’d think someone like Edelman would be able to keep their features functioning….

I’d call Edelman and see if they can’t replace them or send replacement studs, fix them, or something.

I was so disappointed as well, but I ended up getting a pair of suede wedge booties that I love even more…
