April 29th, 2010 No comments

I don’t even know where to begin with these!

One thing about me.. I love metallic… Pewters and silvers being my favorites. This Spread for Harper’s Bazaar Singapore featuring actress Milla Jovovich made my heart skip a beat!

Vogue Nippon (Japan)

Who says dressing a-like is only for twins under the age of 10 or girl groups?!!

In this spread from Vogue Nippon Sigrid Agren and Patricia van der Vliet prove that double trouble can be chic!

My Project Runway Finale Review

April 26th, 2010 1 comment

I know the pictures of the runway shows from the top ten finalists from Project Runway Season 7 have been available since Fashion Week, but seeing the top 3 shows move down the runway versus stills brings the clothing to life and made me change my mind on a few critiques.

Mila’s show was, well blah. Her collection could have been seen on any mall fashion show runway.

But I did love the sheer calves on the leggings.

Beautiful step in the evolution of the legging.

I loved Emilio Sosa’s work throughout the competition, but I agree with the judges the straight off the rack runway show needed a more life and showmanship. For someone who won so many important challenges his show was lacking the showstoppers, but the gown at the end almost makes up for it!

But the variety of colors was a beautiful transition from the mainly monochromatic shows of Seth and Mila.

I loved Seth Aaron throughout the season as well, his rock and roll edge really appeals to me. I love how all of his looks revolve around my favorite color, bold, fierce, chic BLACK! Mixed in brightened up with yellow, reds and purples…

I love the belted hounds-tooth dress and the back is amazing.

Also, loving the pencil thin hounds-tooth pants with zippered openings…  I want it all!!

Overall I agree with the judges, but I see a great future for both Emilio and Seth!

But let’s be honest the winner for Miss or Mr. Congeniality and Personality goes to Anthony! I would love to be his BFF!!

Hot Hollywood Fashion

April 24th, 2010 No comments

I went to the US Weekly Hot Hollywood Fashion Party (a mouth full I know), this past Thursday. The event was held at the new Drai’s night club in W Hotel Hollywood.

US Weekly Look

I love my new Rachel Roy Blazer…

Notice the strong shoulders; and it’s double breasted with pockets! I’ve always loved the way double breasted items looked buttoned up, but it’s hard to find something that looks just as good open…

Until now…..

US WEeekly Look2

Rachel Roy blazer and sequin bag, Forever21 ruffled tube top, American Apparel leggings and L.A.M.B. shooties.

The panels are structured, so when unbuttoned they hold their own weight and don’t go flopping everywhere!

US shoes

Lets not forget to mention the shoes!! I love my Shooties (bootie + shoe)!!

4inch stiletto with cut-outs, buckles and zippers….

Bar

The event was star studded and the Absolut sponsored bar flowed freely. I didn’t take too many pictures inside, it’s considered rude at some of these events. Go to US Weekly, for their pics!

Sebago: Rise of the Boat Shoe

Dapper Gentlemen:

Classic New England craftsmanship meets hottest spring trend.

Sebago has been bringing has been the leader in the classic boats shoe for yachtsmen since 1946. Due to their recent hot fashion collab with Colette Paris & Vane in New York they plan to release the collection Docksides.

Taking a look at both men and women’s styles, these maybe a great alternative to to your Chuck Taylor as a casual shoe! Even if you don’t rush to get the limited addition colors, I have found some classic styles that will do just fine!
