LAFW: Concept Part 1

The CONCEPT shows were a group of runway shows to that featured smaller up and coming designers Fall 2010 collections.

Jen Award was the first show… Her 40′s and 50′s vintage inspiration ran throughout the show with touches of rock-a-billy… The show was extremely cohesive and you knew the designers point of view right away. But it was a little rocky, and the collection in its entirety can best be described as…

I know that sounds harsh… But the following group of pictures have the same issue…

Great concept, over embellishment.

Great fitting leather pant and western jacket but cheapened by the inexpensive looking pearl detailing.

Not only are the pearls over kill on the pink A-line dress are the dangling pearls on the white dress makes it look like a Halloween or Casino costume.
