For many of us Barbie was the doll that taught us how to dress; match and coordinate your purse, belt and shoes. Mattel recently signed onto a 3 years sponsorship with the Council of Fashion Designers of America or CFDA. In exchange for the “generous sponsorship“, the CFDA will aid Mattel in recruiting fashion designers to put on a life size Barbie fashion show during Fashion week.

Granted this isn’t the first time Mattel has teamed up with designers to create looks for Barbie, but Skipper and Gisele should never share a runway!

But as if that wasn’t enough, you can bet your Louboutins that an adult Barbie clothing line and boutiques are on the horizon! A Barbie skin care and make-up line are already in the works called Plastic Smooth…
