Reebok Pumpin’ up the 80′s!

November 25th, 2008 No comments

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic Reebok Pump sneaker, Reebok launched its first pop-up store in NYC this month. The space is complete 80′s flash back! Designed to be reminiscent of NYC 80′s street style, the shop is filled with limited edition designs in a prism of candy bright colors. Every week a new NYC themed item will be launched.

This place is an 80′s enthusiast wet dream… I don’t know about you but I have the sudden urge to break dance…

Organza Multi-Layer Dress

One of my lil dirty secrets is that I love Bebe… Let me clarify… I have not and will NEVER purchase anything from the logo collection! But, I honestly love their cocktail dresses. They always the perfect cleavage and leg ratio!

This lil silk pink number, also available in black, fits and floats as pictured. As soon as it came in I was at my local Bebe with my wallet out…. The bodice is fitted with a sweetheart neckline that gives perfect cleavage. The girly tutu inspired skirt, gives the dress its flirty sex appeal.

I know these have been snapped up pretty quickly, because at the price of $169, it’s a steal!

We The Free… Another Spin Off

We The Free…

Urban Outfitters is launching a causal spin off too their Free People line, called We The People. Free People isn’t casual?? I beg to differ… What is dressy or upscale about this typical Free People look? Can someone please explain the price points to me?!?

Meg Smocked Dress

Free People $118

We The People $168

We The Free $168

We the Free is vintage knit inspired line. Launched last year on the Free People site. We The Free retail stores will opening all over the country this fall, including Boston, Chicago and Hollywood. The store is designed to look like and art gallery, where the majority of the clothing is displayed hanging on the walls.

This concept would work if the clothing was art like, for example Chanel or even the more attainable Betsy Johnson. Well made, with interesting designs and details.

But mass produced tees, tanks and sweats hanging on the wall, does not give me an art gallery vibe, more like a cluttered Salvation Army.
